AMD Processors Are More Energy Efficient Than Intel's

There is a war going on. A war between AMD and Intel that started just as soon as the first AMD designed and produced x86 compatible processor came on the market. For a long time, Intel was the undisputed leader in the processor market and the driving force of innovation in the entire computer hardware industry. Then with the first Athlon series processors from AMD the situation changed dramatically and Intel was finally forced to take a deep breath and admit that the mighty company was caught unprepared by an ant-sized opponent. NVIDIA Will Launch a New Generation of Chipsets

The chipset and graphics card producer will launch a brand new generation of chipsets aimed at providing increased support and performance for the new Intel and AMD processors. Together with the new chipsets, the company will also launch a new graphics processing unit (GPU) designated G92 in November. Those new chipsets are expected in November 2007 for both Intel and AMD platforms.
For the Intel platform (more exactly for the 45 nm Penryn processors), NVIDIA prepares the C73 chipset, while the C72 chipset is reserved for AMD’s sockets [read more>>>]

Ubisoft Announces Far Cry Next

Ubisoft has officially announced the sequel to it's highly acclaimed first-person-shooter (FPS) game, 'Far Cry', but is holding back on any kind of details. "Far Cry 2" is presently being developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studio, while it's prequel was developed by German development studio, Crytek (Crysis). The intellectual property rights to the 'Far Cry' franchise were taken over by Ubisoft in March 2006. 'Far Cry' reportedly won PC Gamer's 'Action Game of the Year' Award in 2004.Commenting on the 'Far Cry' franchise, Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft, said, "Far Cry marked the beginning of a new era for shooters. Microsoft Already Has Plans for the Next O.S.

Microsoft announced at a conference held for its field sales force in Orlando that the company is starting work on a new operating system, internally known as "7" that should hit the market in about three years and become the successor of Windows Vista. As Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows Vista did not produce the expected revolution in the personal computing field and it even has problems in replacing the older but more hardware friendly and compatible Windows XP.
